HUNDREDS enjoyed an exciting Penang Youth Day celebration at the Batu Kawan Stadium.

The one-day event was jointly organised by the state government through the Penang Youth Develop-ment Corporation (PYDC) and TLM Event Sdn Bhd.

Among the highlights of the event were a civic awareness campaign on Undi18 and Penang Youth Volunteer initiatives.

Other activities were singing, a 5km fun run, Zumba dance session and lucky draw.

Penang youth and sports committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said the Youth Day celebration was to commemorate youths as vital assets to the country.

“Their ideas, imagination and enthusiasm are undeniably important for the continued growth of the state.

“The future of the country depends on them and we want to acknowledge their efforts and contributions,” he said.
